DC Kishtwar declares two areas as Micro containment zones

Kishtwar, Apr 27: Keeping in view of reporting of around 30 COVID positive cases from various areas of Kishtwar District, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar declared two areas as Micro containment zones so as to prevent the spread of the Covid in the area.
As the details available with “Early Times”, DC Kishtwar vide Order No. DMK/Covid-19/21/876-90 Dated 27-4-2021 declared Akhyarabad from House of Mohammad Aslam Gilkar to the house of Ghulam Hussain Tapal in Ward No. 13 of Kishtwar Municipal Council and Majid Mohallah Ward-E of Panchayat Atholi Padder as Micro Containment Zone with population of 145 and 130 respectively. Both the areas had been put under strict lockdown with directions to all the inhabitants living in the containment zone will have to undergo 100% testing and any refusal in this regard will be followed by a strict legal action against the individual under disaster management act. The concern SHOs had been directed to ensure the 100% testing in both the micro containment zones. In another order issued vide order No. DM/K/21/359-362 Dated 27-4-2021 banning entry inside Kishtwar chowgan ground for non essential entries of the public. Senior Superintendent of Police Kishtwar has been directed to ensure the implementation of the said order in letter and spirit.
