Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav Concludes at GDC Udhampur

Jammu, Apr 27: Under the motivating patronship of Principal Prof. Subash Chander, the weeklong online celebration w,r.t India @ 75 Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav with the flagship programmes on We the People of India concludes with Interactive Talks, online presentations, and declaration of the winners of different events.
In his message the patron congratulated the organizing committee for successfully conducting such a noble programme. He apprised all present about the necessity felt for organizing such kind of programmes in the college and all over the country.
He stressed that the time has come to be with one vision yet have diverse thinking and make this nation proud and great with the message of “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah” and “Vasudev Kutumbakam”.
The weeklong programmes had interactive discussion panels like Hum log ore Azadi pe Charcha, lectures by experts viz. Prof. Babu Lal Thakur, Prof. Gurvinder Raj Verma, Prof. Sanjay Kumar, Prof. Samosh Kumar, Prof. Yash Pal, Dr. Pankaj Sharma, Prof. Kashab, Dr. Ajay Kumar, Dr. Preeti Sharma and very thematic presentations by students viz. Binish Khan, Rahul Sharma and volunteers of NSS.
In the competitions on different scheduled days Priyanka Thakur Sem V, Shashi Mohan Sem V, and Awantika Sharma Sem3, scored 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in painting; Simran Kour, Vicky Sharma and Om Parkash dazzled with 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in patriotic songs; Ms. Kajal thakur, Priyanka thakur and Archana Dubey took away the subsequent positions in slogan writing; Pooja Devi, Shevali and Puja Devi grabbed the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in poetry recitation. In essay writing Rahul Sharma, Shashi Mohan and Antriksha carved the niche at 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Prof. Imtiaz Shahid, Samosh Kumar, Prof. Puja Dheman, Dr. Preeti Sharma and Dr. Sandeep Kour acted as the Judges.
On the last day the guest speaker Prof. Kashab had an interactive talk with staff and students of the college on Ithihasa, Sanskriti and future perspectives of We the People of India. He talked in length about socio political, ethnical and economical perspectives of India and accentuated on adopting the all-inclusive pluralistic identity of this unique nation of the World.
