DDC Samba reviews action plan for Jal Jeevan mission

SAMBA, Apr 27: District Development Commissioner, Samba Anuradha Gupta, today convened a meeting of district officers to finalize the action plan under Jal Jeevan Mission scheme here at conference hall of DC Office.
Additional District Development Commissioner, TR Shastri, Chief Planning Officer, Sukhleen Kour, Assistant Commissioner Development, Sidharath Dhiman, Chief Medical Officer, Dr Sanjay Turki, besides Xen PHE and other district officers attended the meeting.
The District Development Commissioner sought the information regarding all the water bodies, and proposals for creating rain water harvesting structures and water conservation plans under Jal Shakti Abhiyan prepared by the concerned district officers.
The meeting discussed the constitution of Village water and sanitation committee, preparation & approvals of village action plan, Providing FHTC to every rural household in district, besides conducting IEC and behavioural change communication (BCC) campaigns and others.
The DDC directed all the district officers present in the meeting to work coherently and in a coordinated manner for achieving the desired results.
He also laid emphasis upon having regular feedback from the Dept and asked concerned district officers to submit Action taken reports to the ADDC. She also passed directions to the concerned to flag issues which impede the progress on the schemes and assured full support in sorting them out.
