Webinar on “Employability and Youth” organized

Jammu, May 1: Career Counselling Cell, Govt. P.G. College For Women, Gandhi Nagar under the aegis of Manodarpan, initiative of MHRD, Govt. of India organized an Employability Program for the college students on the theme : Employability and Youth.
The webinar was inaugurated by the patron and Principal of the College, Dr. Sangita Nagari. She welcomed the participants and Resource Person. She stressed that Govt. P.G. College for Women Gandhi Nagar is focusing on conducting such programmes to help the students by providing them necessary information regarding employability skills and trainings in order to enhance their Employability.
Prof. Ambica Sharma, coordinator and moderator of the programme appealed the participants for further disseminating the skills, information and knowledge gained from the resource person to other students also.
The Resource person invited for the Programme was Sunil Baraily, PAN India Mobilization Coordinator, Youth Employability Program(Non Engg), Corporate social Responsibility, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). He acquainted the participants about the different skills required for getting jobs in corporate world. He guided the students regarding the Youth Employability Programme initiated by TCS. The programme also supports the youth for guiding them for internal (in TCS) and external opportunities for their jobs in Private sector. He also asserted that trainees will receive a digital certificate of participation and completion from TCS which will stand as a testimony and accreditation of their employability prospects in the corporate world. The organizing Committee for the webinar comprised of Prof. Rajni Kumari, Prof. Renu Rajput, Prof. Sugandha Mahajan, Prof. Eisha Gohil and Prof. Syed Shehna. In the end, Prof. Anupama Sharma presented formal vote of thanks.
