5/1/2021 11:37:46 PM

Kishan Sharma

Shelling is very much common especially in the border areas in Jammu and Kashmir. It has been going on since 1947 in Jammu and Kashmir. We have been witnessing severe and most rigorous effects of shelling on mankind. The cross border shelling has given an enormous misery to the peoples of J&K. The shelling has vandalized man made society. Many Peoples have lost their lives in cross border shelling.
We have been studying the harmful impacts of shelling on human civilization but we have forgotten that shelling has affected Animals including domestic and wildlife. In every cross border shelling not only humans but Animals also faces the heat and the severe consequences of shelling thereof. Since Animal plays an important role in our ecosystem so each and every animals has its own importance in our ecosystem and thereby help in maintaining balance in our ecosystem. A small reduction in population in any of the animal species in our ecosystem leads to disruption in our ecosystem. Therefore it is important to conserve animal species in order to maintain healthy Environment and ecosystem. There is a need to be more vigilant towards our approach to conserve and protect wildlife from harmful effects of shelling.
The government has to take some measures to prevent the killing of wildlife. There should be a regular monitoring of wildlife species available in our border areas so that the concerned organizations may get ease in establishing the preventive measures. Every single species available on this planet has the right to live. We cannot let these wildlife species die in shelling. Animal hospital needs to be established in and around border areas for immediate aid.
The Role of local communities and Ngo’s is also very important to rescue such species which are continuously under the threat shelling. In the end I would like to conclude this article my requesting my fellow citizens to be very kind to animals, we are alive because of these animals without them we cannot imagine the existence of human beings on this planet.
