Black marketing of Oximeters on rise in J&K: Partap Singh
5/2/2021 12:03:02 AM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, May 1: Youth leader, Partap Singh Jamwal today accused the J&K administration of turning a blind eye towards black marketing of Oximeters, which are in demand due to surge in corona cases.
He said that due to shortage of oximeters in Jammu & Kashmir, the hoarders have started selling it on exorbitant rates, causing extra burden on the pocket of poor public.
Taking dig at the BJP government in centre and Lieutenant Governor’s administration in Jammu and Kashmir, Jamwal said that due to their wrong policies the black marketers are encouraged to do it unabated.
Jamwal alleged that the Modi government has failed to stop the black marketing of oximeter.
He said that the MRP of a branded oximeter price has now surged to double due to increase in demand. In these circumstances, the air sacs in the lungs fill with pus. It affects the rate and volume of air entering the lungs and reduces the amount of oxygen in the blood. Therefore it is important to check the oxygen level periodically.
Partap appealed the LG JKUT to take action against those engaged in black marketing of oximeters.
He also requested the civil society to raise voice against such elements, who are eyes profit in such trying times.
