SIF demands gearing up of sanitization drive in Jammu city

JAMMU, May 2: All J&K 1947 POJK Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum (SIF) convened a meeting of its core committee members under the chairmanship of Adv Amrik Singh, President of the Forum and joined by Surjit Singh, General Secretary of the Forum.
At the outset of the meeting members strongly condemned the carelessness attitude of the Jammu Municipal Corporation for not providing basic amenities in the urban areas of Municipal limits at this critical stage of Corona pandemic.
The Forum further elaborated that Municipal Corporation is overall sleeping. It has neither initiated the sanitization drive nor is the corona testing is being taken up on a war footing.
Members while expressing their reservations appealed the Lt Governor to take up this sensitive issue personally and direct the concerned Advisor and Commissioner of JMC to provide all the facilities to the Corona affective areas.
Forum also stressed upon the CAPD Deptt to get distribution of free ration and other essential commodities to the poor people who are starving because of lock down.
The Forum Core Committee members who addressed the meeting include Inder Singh Corporator, Tirath Kaur Corporator, Paramjit Singh Vice president of the Forum, Kuldeep Singh, Prof K.D Singh, Nasib Singh, Karan Sharma, Inderjit Verma and others.
