Tawi Trekkers to organize trek to Gulap Kangri Peak in Aug 2021

Jammu, May 6: Tawi Trekkers J&K, the biggest trekking club of J&K, shall organize a challenging trek to Gulap Kangri Peak in Ladakh Himalaya in August 2021. It was decided in a virtual meeting held amongst the core members of the club to formulate a revised Calendar of Activities to be implemented post covid- 19 crisis.
The 12 days trek to be organized from 7th to 18th August shall be led by 71years old President of the club Ram Khajuria, who has trekked extensively in this area. The group also includes 76 years old Prof. Lalit Magotra, an Advisor of the Club; senior members Sumit Khajuria, Sushil Singh and Abhimanyu Sherpa. Another three participants including two girls are also likely to be included in the team. The club plans to hoist the National Flag on Gulap Kangri peak on the Independence Day on 15th August, 2021.
