Dreams do not come for money, they come for happiness
5/16/2021 11:22:29 PM
“Instead of chasing the title of ‘self-made millionaire’ in the future, be a ‘self-directed believer’ of wonder today”, a quote from Tim Tamashiro’s book ‘Ikigai’ directs one to chase dreams than to chase money. Similar was the inspiration for the self made social media star ‘The Dark Spectre’.
Sahil Kumar, better known by his channel’s name ‘The Dark Spectre’, is same as any other ordinary boy from Akhnoor, Jammu, who believes in his dreams and is on his way to achieve them all. He has, since uploading his first YouTube video in 2017, become a social media phenomenon in Jammu and even rest of the country.
Dark Spectre is a 23 year old boy whose content mostly focuses on motovlogging and cinematography. His videos cover every small detail regarding the bike culture. He even makes cinematic vlogs promoting and exploring the hidden beauty of Jammu which very efficiently is boosting tourism of the place. Any person who has watched his videos cannot resist himself from exploring the place.
This ‘Helmet Man’ hasn’t revealed his face yet and so he always makes sure that his audience is able to relate itself with him. Carrying this unique concept very impressively, his channel has gained 85,000 subscribers and is about to touch the 1,00,000 mark in near future.
His most popular video so far, with 1.6 million views, is the one which any bike lover cannot afford to miss. This motovlog begins with an introduction to all the best exhaust for the bikes and ends with the delivery of every minute detail one needs to know about it. Whether it is about the price or about the exhaust type or even if it is about the looks, the video is a one-stop destination for every bike enthusiast.
Sahil, being born in an ordinary Indian family of Akhnoor, had a simple childhood. Growing up with a not so common dream and pursuing it was not that easy for him. But with family’s support, he completed his B.Sc. in Multimedia and Animation and decided to start with his own YouTube channel ‘The Dark Spectre’. Although not so much supported and appreciated in the start, he never lost faith in his dreams and continued to carry forward with what really made him happy. Starting with videos about review of different bikes and their parts to making big cinematic vlogs, The Dark Spectre started becoming a new sensation in the biking youth.
Booming Success
His success story has now spurred many among his audience to chase their dreams no matter how different they seem to be. His idea of wearing the helmet always, promotes a safe riding culture and makes the youth more cautious about the safety and riding gears.
Not letting the frequent internet ban in the region to become a barrier for him, he always remain focused on what his heart really desires. Spectre do not make videos for the world, he makes them for himself and this is the biggest reason what makes his fans relate to him the most. 85000 and counting people have clicked on his channel and are liking his content. Inspiring many new and young YouTubers, Spectre believes in himself and reiterates “What could be the greatest source of motivation than your own work”. Keeping a track of all his mistakes and lags in the previous videos, he always try to improve in the upcoming ones. His fans value the efforts he puts in every video and enjoy the short and funny jokes he cracks. They love his editing skills and his way of presenting his work. With his dream of riding a black R1M, The Dark Spectre is on his way to achieve all his dreams and to set a very inspiring example to the new and upcoming YouTubers of the country.
