DC Doda discusses development issues, covid control measures with BDC chairpersons

DODA, May 17, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma today discussed development issues and covid control measures with of Block Development Ccouncil (BDC) chairpersons and Block Development Officers of Ghat, Gundana, Bhagwah, Udhyanpur, Kastigarh, Assar, Bhaderwah and Khalleni blocks, her at a meeting.
The meeting was also attended by Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, District Panchayat Officer, DIO and Executive Engineer REW.
The DC reviewed the status of purchase of computers and furniture for Panchayats and office of BDC chairpersons. It was informed that the orders for computers have been placed and the supply is expected in few days.
The DC directed the ACD to monitor the supply and ensure that the supply doesn't hamper due to Covid-19 restrictions. The DC sought active cooperation of BDC chairpersons and elected representatives in 100% vaccination of targeted groups. He also urged the elected representatives to play active role in motivating general public for following Covid-19 protocols. He also urged them to immediately inform the administration about any suspected Covid-19 positive case so that the timely intervention/ medical help can be provided and the spread of virus be checked in time.
The DC also listened to the issues faced by BDC Chairpersons and ensured that the same shall be addressed. He directed BDOs to consult elected representatives while making the plan for the Block.
The ACD was further directed to prepare Block wise schedule for Block Development Council meetings and inform the line departments in advance to provide timely benefit to the public at large.
