Mehbooba prefers politics over lives of people
True colors of the Green Brigade!

Early Times Report

Jammu, May 17: The partiality and prejudice PDP president Mehbooba Mufti and her rush to hog the headlines are ruthlessly getting exposed amid the prevalent COVID crisis in Jammu and Kashmir as she through her tweets has been preferring tweets overplaying a constructive role in helping government to tackle the situation.
The PDP president has been the chief minister of J&K for more than two years and must be in possession of ample experience that she could share to help the state get out of the crisis which are at present looming large and even make her more than three lakh followers on twitter about the SOPs and guidelines for COVID. However, what is ironic to find is the fact that she has been preferring politics over saving peoples’ lives. This perhaps has been depicting the party’s true intention. Scrolling through her tweets of the past week, one finds nothing but tweets infested with politics and politics alone that too when the worst phase of COVID-19 is going on in the country as well as in J&K.
On Sunday, Mehbooba Mufti criticized the arrest of people protesting against Israel over the Middle East conflict during the Corona curfew.
She said that there are protests all over the world against the action being taken by Israel on Palestine. In such a situation, it was not appropriate to arrest a religious leader and common people only for showing support in favor of Palestinians. Police on Saturday had arrested 21 people for demonstrating in support of Palestine during the Corona curfew in Srinagar and Shopian districts.
Earlier, the police also arrested a religious preacher from South Kashmir, Sarjan Barkati, for allegedly making inflammatory speeches on the day of Eid.
The PDP leader alleged that Kashmir is an open prison and you cannot even express your opinion here. The PDP president, while condemning the detention of two sons of the late separatist leader Ashraf Sehrai said that the Public Security Act (PSA) is the solution to every problem of the GOI in Kashmir.
However, there are scores of netizens who are questioning her rhetoric about the issues that aren’t related to the health crisis in Kashmir. “She should have been at the forefront, offering the government her advice related to the COVID-19 situation and how to tackle the pandemic. However, what we see is a politician and not a responsible citizen in her,” says a netizen.
Soon after she was elected as the PDP President, she came out to speak to the media persons at her official residence in Srinagar. While she was surrounded by the journalists and was asked questions related to the event, she while wearing a maniac grin told the media person that she doesn’t understand Hindi and that questions should be posed to her in Urdu language only. While such a remark was eclipsed by Mehbooba’s statement on IGP and that she and the Police Chief, both are doing their duties, the words used about the Hindi language were derogatory to the core.
In her January interview with an online portal based in New Delhi, Mehbooba questioned the motive behind the Balakote airstrikes and even termed them a mere drama enacted by the government.
