AJKLTF pays tribute to teachers, corona warriors

JAMMU, May 17: A meeting of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKLTF) affiliated to Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shakshik Mahasangh Jammu Kashmir under the chairmanship of its President Devraj Thakur held here today.
Addressing the Executive Members of AJKLTF, Thakur hailed the country's courage in the face of a global pandemic and expressed his gratitude to the healthcare workers and teachers and the government for their efforts to tackle the coronavirus, which has upended lives of people around the world.
Expressing gratitude towards the corona warriors, who have been at the forefront of fighting the battle, he said, "The society is indebted to all the doctors, nurses and other health workers and teachers who have been front line warriors in this fight against the coronavirus," he said.
"These are the ideal service-warriors of our nation. The appreciation of these corona warriors is less. All these warriors rise above the limits of their duty, save lives and ensure availability of essential services," he said.
The meeting condoles sudden demise of Om Parkash Patodhyia, Vice President Madhya Pardesh Shakshik Sangh, Prof Dharmindera Singh Jammu Central university, Professor Ravinder Kour, BEd College Jammu, Asstt Professor Haroon Rashid, O P Bhagat, Joint Director DSEJ, Sushma Chib, Parveen Kumar-Teachers from Jammu, Kewal Kumar Master, Sharda Devi and Samriti Dutta teachers from Poonch, Raja Ji Sr. Teacher Zone Baramulla, Sham Parsad Head Asstt, Bal Bahadur and Sandeep Kumar employees DSEJ who passed away in this pandemic.
In this condolence meet all the JKUT office bearers and district Presidents ,General Secretaries and representatives from Kashmir also participated.
