Doda administration scales up Covid vaccination through a network of 34 centres
Sufficient bed capacity, oxygen stock available in District: DC

DODA, May 17: District Administration Doda has intensified Covid vaccination through a network of 34 vaccination sites to cover 100 percent age appropriate population.
“We have scaled up the vaccination by increasing vaccination sites from 19 to 34, as part of control and containment measure amid the second wave” said Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Sharma here at press conference.
The DC informed that district gas 872 active cases and majority of them are under home isolation and asymptomatic. He said administration has provided them medicine kits including pulse oximeters, while dedicated medical teams are also monitoring them closely.
Regarding bed capacity, the DC informed that district has augmented the bed capacity at different levels, and there is also no dearth of oxygen supply, which is being monitored on daily basis.
Elaborating on containment and management measures, he said informed as per the frequency of positive cases 6 areas have been notified as containment zones. He said testing is also being ensured and is ongoing till the entire population of these areas is not tested.
The DC asked the people to follow the lockdown restrictions and do not venture out unnecessarily. He further appealed the people above 45 yrs to get vaccinated at their nearest vaccination site.
