Udhampur admin holds live Facebook yoga session for Covid positive patients

UDHAMPUR, May 18: District Administration Udhampur, today morning, organized a live Facebook yoga session for COVID -19 patients and general public of the District in collaboration with Indian Systems of Medicine (ISM) Ayush.
The session was held under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Indu Kanwal Chib here at ADMO Office Udhampur.
The DC visited the yoga site and appreciated the Yoga teaching team. She urged the public to be part of the Yoga session daily and improve their immunity. She interacted with the yoga instructor and hoped that a daily routine will help the Covid positive patients as well as the general public in reducing the stress and develop positive thinking towards life.
Around 1000 virtual groups on social media platforms -Facebook, Zoom, WhatsApp and Google joined the live session. The ADMO said that the initiative intends to provide a holistic healthcare approach through AYUSH to ensure not only physical but also mental, social and spiritual wellbeing.
On the occasion, Ayush COVID Kits were handed over to block medical officers at Block level for further distribution among Positive patients.
