World Hypertension Day commemorated at GDC Chenani

Chenani, May 18: Govt. Degree College, Chenani ccommemorated the World Hypertension Day with the theme “How to keep a check on high blood pressure” with utmost dedication. The programme was conducted under the Psychological Counselling Cell of the College, and as part of the Manodarpan Initiative of MHRD, Govt. of India. The purpose of the programme was to create awareness and communicate in our social networks about accurately measuring blood pressure regularly since it is one the main risk factors for heart diseases, kidney problems and dementia.
The students of the college expressed their ideas and threw light on the importance of World Hypertension Day in the present Covid – 19 pandemic which can easily lead to conditions such as stress, anxiety and other psychopathological ailments among the common masses.
These programmes enrich experiences of the student community at large and encourage them on educating and protecting people’s health with acquiring basic knowledge.
The students of the college displayed their unparalleled skills by crafting out posters, drawing, sketching, painting, writing etc. and participated in essay writing with full enthusiasm and highlighted different measures to combat hypertension among the common masses with healthy life style, proper management of diet schedule and regular exercises. The programme was organised under the patronage of the Principal of the College, Dr. Pragya Khanna and the members of the organizing team included Dr. Mudasir Abdullah and Prof. Manya Gupta.
