96-year-old man beats deadly virus, sets example for others

Jammu, May 23: Amid fear and gloom due to unprecedented deaths of Corona patients in Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu, 96-year-old Badri Nath Sharma of Gardwal village of Vijaypur tehsil of Samba district has set example for others.
The Lambardar of village Gardwal has defeated Coronavirus through his ‘willpower’ and ‘positivity’.
Amid the devastating second wave of coronavirus leaving COVID patients gasping for breath, this inspiring story of recovery by sheer willpower has emerged from border belt of Samba district.
According to the family, Badrinath Sharma was under home treatment, and doctors confirmed his recovery on May 19 following tests.
The family credits Sharma’s “willpower” and the “positive atmosphere” at their home for his recovery.

“96 years old, Badrinath Sharma defeats Coronavirus after spending 14 days in home isolation. Now he is back to the disciplined routine with renewed vigour”, Office of the LG tweeted from the official Twitter handle.
Badrinath Sharma has earned appreciation across the region for successfully fighting deadly virus during the second wave which has so far proved more devastating as compared to the first one.
s said that from the day one after tested positive, he followed directions of the doctors for medication and adopted some traditional methods to beat the virus. Badrinath, Lambardar of border village of Gardwal in Samba district of J&K, tested positive on May 10 but he defeated the deadly virus within 10 days. Being an ex-serviceman, Badrinath has habit of doing physical exercise every morning and his routine help him to beat the Coronavirus.
The situation was very challenging as all 10 members of the family were tested positive. Sharma’s daughter-in-law, Anita Sharma, who is Sarpanch of Gadwal Panchayat, was also tested positive.
Facing all odds, our grandfather ensured a positive ambiance at home through his willpower and courage. His grit and resilience gave power to all family members.
