Over 360 media persons get first dose of vaccine in Jammu

JAMMU, May 25: District Administration Jammu, in association with Directorate of Information and Public Relation organised a vaccination camp for media persons in the 18-45 age group at Directorate of Information and PR office, Jammu. Over 360 media persons were administered the first dose of vaccine. Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Anshul Garg said that the move was taken to facilitate media persons in getting vaccination as they are working tirelessly as frontline warriors providing effective and factual reporting from ground zero.
Stating that the media as the fourth pillar of our democracy, the Deputy Commissioner said that it is a very important and crucial job as they are working round the clock to spread awareness among the masses and do positive stories regarding Covid-19. The Deputy Commissioner said that the left out journalists will be covered in the next few days. The media persons evinced great enthusiasm in getting vaccine dose and expressed their gratitude to the District Administration and Information department. Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner also visited vaccination sites to inspect the vaccination drive. He visited Primary Health Center Shashtri Nagar, G.B Pant Hospital and old ARTO office and took first hand information regarding the vaccination drive.
