BDO Pouni 'misbehaves' with DDC member, ACD orders probe

JAMMU, May 25: In an alleged complaint of misbehaviour by Block Development Officer (BDO) Pouni with a member of the District Development Council (DDC), lodged by Chairperson DDC Reasi and Chairpersons BDC, the Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Reasi ordered an inquiry.
According to sources, the ACD Reasi Dr Anirudh Rai on May 24 had constituted an inquiry committee headed by Executive Engineer (XEn), REW Reasi, and the committee would submit its report by May 26.
The sources further informed that the Chairperson DDC Reasi, Saraf Singh had lodged a complaint against the BDO Pouni with Deputy Commissioner Reasi during a meeting held on May 23 through video conferencing.
“On the directions of the DC Reasi on May 23, a committee comprising of XEn REW Reasi as chairperson, BDO Reasi, BDO Bhamag and Panchayat Inspector DPO Office Reasi as member to enquire into the complaint lodged by the Chairperson DDC Reasi, Saraf Singh, other members and BDC Chairpersons against BDO Pouni, Sumit Suri for misbehaving with Rita Sharma, DDC member Pouni during a telephonic conversation”, sources said. They further said that the inquiry committee has been asked to submit its report within 3 days, i.e. on May 26.
