DC Rajouri takes stock of COVID mitigation measures in Manjakote block

RAJOURI, May 25: To take stock of the efforts being made to mitigate the COVID19 pandemic, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today conducted an extensive tour of block Manjakote.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by the BDC Chairperson Manjakote, Shamshad Begum; Tehsildar, Mohd Javed; ExEn Jal Shakti Department, Mushtaq Ahmed; SDPO Manjakote, BDO, Mohd Nawaz and JE Jal Shakti, Abdul Hameed and Sarpanch, Samreen Khan.
While taking stock of the medicare facilities and COVID mitigation measures at PHC Manjakote and PHC Gambir Muglan, the concerned Health officers gave a detailed account of the steps being taken to contain the spread of the viral infection and the kind of health facilities being provided to the patients amid the pandemic.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner also kickstarted the work on the water supply scheme Kakora being executed at an estimated cost of Rs 5.00 lakh.
The scheme was approved under the Back to Village programme and it would benefit about two thousand souls of different Panchayats of the block.
The concerned Executive Engineer from the Jal Shakti Department was directed to ensure the time-bound completion of the work on the scheme so that necessary benefits are provided to the locals in terms of drinking water facility.
The Deputy Commissioner while interacting with the locals appealed them to follow Covid protocols as issued by the Government and Health Department from time to time to stay safe from the deadly Coronavirus.
