No Containment zone to be de-notified till satisfactory vaccination level: DC Srinagar 6/15/2021 11:45:43 PM Early Times Report Srinagar, June 15: Asserting that no Containment Zone shall be de-notified till it attains a satisfactory vaccination level, Deputy Commissioner (DC), Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad said that strict action will be taken against people who violate COVID-19 guidelines as the protection of public health is priority of the administration. Meanwhile, Mr Asad said that the response to Mega vaccination Mela launched at various places in the city on Monday to improve vaccination coverage and to sensitize people about the importance of anti-Covid-19 vaccination witnessed a huge response from the people. He said similar Mega vaccination camps will be set up at various places in the city in the coming days. “There are 104 Containment Zones in Srinagar district. No Containment Zone shall be de-notified till satisfactory vaccination level. Any containment zone, which reaches a satisfactory vaccination level, will be de-notified accordingly. The protection of public health is priority and no laxity on Covid-19 guidelines will be tolerated and action as per law will be taken against Covid-19 lockdown violators,” Mr Asad said in an audio message on Tuesday. Giving details, the DC said that district Srinagar has recorded a total of 68,228 Covid-19 positive cases, out of which 65,220 patients have recovered so far, while 2194 Covid-19 positive cases are presently active in the district. He informed that district Srinagar has recorded recovery rate of 95.5 per cent while positivity rate has declined to 5.6 per cent. The DC further said that Mega anti Covid-19 vaccination drive has been started on Monday by organizing Vaccination Melas at prime City locations in coordination with Trade bodies and Civil Society members which witnessed huge response from general public including trader, transporters, street vendors, shopkeepers who were inoculated anti Covid-19 vaccine.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
