Taking immediate cognizance of few reports regarding unauthorized absence of some doctors from duties at Government Medical College Anantnag, the Deputy Commissioner (District Magistrate) Anantnag, Dr. Piyush Singla today directed the Principal of the college to strictly monitor the attendance and roster of the doctors and paramedical staff there. He further asked the Principal to ensure the health staff at the college attend the duties punctually and follow the roster in letter and spirit besides forwarding the attendance to the office of the Deputy Commissioner on a daily basis.
Speaking on the matter, the DC said the doctors should regularly attend the duties adding the punctuality of medical staff becomes even more significant during these testing (Covid) times.
