Kishtwar, June 16: In a significant development in a case involving District Development Council member from Marwah demanding merging of Marwah Sub Division of Kishtwar District with China, the Judicial Magistrate 1st Class (JMIC) Kishtwar directed SHO Police Station Kishtwar to conduct an inquiry into the matter and submitted the report to court in time bound manner. As per the details available with Early Times, Senior National Conference leader Ghulam Rasool Magrey through advocate Nazim ud Din Qazi moved an application before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Kishtwar seek directions to SHO Police Station Kishtwar for registration of an FIR against DDC member Marwah under Section 156 (3) of Cr. PC for his demand of merging Marwah Sub Division of Kishtwar District during his meeting with Divisional Commissioner Jammu held at Kishtwar on 3-6-2021 in which DC Kishtwar, ADDC Kishtwar, ADC Kishtwar, ACR Kishtwar along with DDC Chairperson Kishtwar, DDC members and other officials were present. The petitioner has said that the demand raised by DDC member is not only against the spirit of constitution of India, but also an attempt to hurt the sentiments of the common people of the country.
After hearing Advocate Qazi, JMIC Kishtwar was of the opinion that on perusal of the complaint and since the complainant had alleged the commission of cognizable offence, hence it deemed proper to forward the complaint to SHO Police Station Kishtwar U/S 156 (3) Cr. P.C to conduct proper inquiry and see whether any cognizance offence is made out and proceed under law accordingly and submit the status report in a time bound manner.
