| Awam-ki-Awaz: Unanswered calls disappoint callers | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 19: Many callers, who tried to reach out to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday through Awam-ki-Awaz programme, were disappointed as their calls went unanswered.
It’s in place to mention here that LG Sinha spoke to the people over phone this morning in a programme that was telecast by All India Radio and Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar. Many callers said that after dialing the given number 1800-5722-327 for Jammu region they heard a recorded message that their call would be connected but after sometime the call got disconnected. “We wanted to apprise the LG about the difficulties being faced by us. But we couldn’t succeed,” said a caller.
He said, “If we cannot reach out to the Lieutenant Governor through phone then what’s the point in creating hype about Awam Ki Awaz.”
Another caller said, “Dialing the given number proved to be an exercise in futility. It seems that callers who will call are fixed well in advance so that genuine grievances don’t reach the LG.” |
