End of Darbar Move another big feat of Modi Govt: Kavinder
6/21/2021 11:32:39 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, June 21: Culmination of age-old tradition of shifting official records from winter capital Jammu to Kashmir in summers and vice versa in winters popularly known as Darbar Move is another big achievement of the PM Narendra Modi led BJP Government in the Centre.
This was said by senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta after inspecting the Aadhaar–cum–Ayushman camp being organized by J&K Administration here at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar.
The senior BJP functionary said that BJP government has achieved this feat after showing a strong resolve towards bringing much needed changes in J&K. “The long trail of BJP government’s successful endeavours include abrogation of Articles 35A and 370, bifurcation of erstwhile state of J&K by making two UTs and now saying goodbye to this costly tradition of changing seat of governance biannually which used to cost over Rs 200 crore on yearly basis”, Kavinder said, adding that a lot of efforts were also part of this exercise as far as security, road clearance, transportation and other similar draining of resources are considered.
The BJP stalwart made a point that the money and the resources saved by ending this practice of Darbar Move now can help in utilizing the exchequer in other public welfare initiatives.
This surely is a win-win situation for the people of both the regions and the credit of this colossal effort straightaway goes to PM Modi and LG Manoj Sinha, who executed this wonderful job in record time, he added.
The former Deputy CM asked the people of Gandhi Nagar Constituency to avail the benefit of the camp. Vinay Gupta District President, Narinder Koki, Corporator Pawan Singh, Bharat Bhushan Mandal President, Naveen Gupta and Vinod Abrol also accompanied the former Deputy Chief Minister.
Earlier, Kavinder attended Yog Diwas celebrations at Zorawar Singh Park Trikuta Nagar. He disseminated information on the role of Yoga in transforming the lives of people.
He said that Yoga is the answer to many problems of today’s world as through lifestyle changes which Yoga suggests people can become healthy and wise.
