Dialogue, gun cannot go together: Ravinder
6/22/2021 11:40:57 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, June 22: With just two days left for the All Party Meet (APM) called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Delhi on June 24, Jammu and Kashmir BJP, President Ravinder Raina, said that the party will raise issue of strengthening nationalist forces and defeating the designs of anti-India forces besides welfare of the people of the UT in the meeting.
Addressing media persons at party headquarter on Tuesday, alongwith MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, former Minister Sat Sharma and BJP Chief Spokesperson, Sunil Sethi, Ravinder Raina said the convening a meeting of all parties by the PM is a highly appreciable step and the BJP delegates will utilize the opportunity to raise a number of important issues, including development and welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Raina said that India has always favoured friendly relations with its neighbours and it should not be taken as its weakness. Our country has very cordial relations with Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Afghanistan and other countries. As far Pakistan, it has launched a proxy war against India but will never succeed in its designs. Confidence can be developed through dialogue but Pakistan has never displayed its sincerity to have good relations with India. The same is clear by its policy of training, funding and pushing terrorists into Indian Territory. There can be no talk till this neighbour stops supporting terrorism in any form. “Dialogue and gun cannot go together”, he said.
Taking a dig at the regional parties for misleading the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the name of Article 370, Ravinder Raina said that this Special Provision has been abrogated and now it has become a part of the history.
“No one can restore Article 370 and political parties making false promises of bringing it back are playing emotional politics,” Ravinder said and added that the BJP will always oppose any such move tooth and nail.
