Three residental houses gutted in remote Sangpora area of Chatroo

Kishtwar, June 22: Three houses were completely gutted in a fire incident in the remote Sangpora area of Chatroo, some 65 KM from District Headquarter Kishtwar during last intervening night.
As per the details available with Early Times, Quick action of Indian Army (11 RR) along with local people and civil administration helped save precious lives from a major fire in which three houses were completely burnt— however all people inside were rescued. The official sources identified the victim as Ghulam Ahmad Malik S/o Abdul Kabir Malik, Mohammad Amin S/o Amdu Malik and Sajad Hussain S/o Ali Mohd Malik, situated in the heart of the Malikpura of Revenue village Inderwal got burnt completely in a fire incident.
The fire suddenly erupted in one of these houses arround 11:30 pm (21st june) when the families were sleeping inside. On noticing the fire by some locals and quick reaction of Army — the families were rescued initially, thereafter the local youth along with Army diverted a nearby water channel towards the Houses to control the fire. Meanwhile the fire brigade also reached the location and assisted to extinguish the fire completely. The medical team of Army also provided the first aid to the injureds.
It is pertinent to mention that people from time and again demanded for establishment of fire service stations at Sub Division level at Padder, Chatroo, Marwah and in another remote Bhunzwah area of the District spread over approximately 7500 Sq Km.
Meanwhile ex Congress MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori also visited the fire affected families and express his solidarity with them. Saroori demanded rehabilitation package for fire affected families and called for immediate sanction of fire tender services for Chatroo, Padder and Bhunzwah areas of the constituency.
