| Insurance companies allegedly harass hailstorm sufferers in Poonch | | |  Rajesh Tandon

Poonch, June 22: Recent hailstorm in Poonch has hit various vehicles of Poonch people. Glasses of many vehicles have been broken. The aggrieved alleged that when they approached the insurance companies for claim, they were harassed. Advocate Ajit Verma, Chairman NAVA POONCH has appealed Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and District administration Poonch to take action against the insurance companies who are not providing the insurance amount to the insured who have either insured themselves or their vehicles against any mishappening. Verma said that the recent hailstorm in district Poonch has damaged several vehicles and also the crops of the majority of the population and when people approach these insurance companies for their claim the staff of the companies harass them and further deny to give an claim saying this is an act of God in case of this the insurance company is not bound to give the claim. Ankush Sharma said that when he contacted concerned insurance company the insurer denied to give claim and denied it by saying that it is not included in the policy. |
