6/22/2021 11:41:02 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, June 22: Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta on Tuesday said that he will voice for the concerns of Kashmiri Pandits and Sikhs living as second class citizens in Valley besides discrimination with Jammu by the successive governments in the upcoming All Party Meet called by the PM Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
In a statement issued to media persons here the senior BJP functionary hailed the move of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for convening this significant meeting to commence the political process in the UT of J&K as there is no match for a political government in a state or UT. He said that Prime Minister has rightly gauged the situation and thereafter decided to call all the leaders of mainstream politics in Kashmir to decide further political course and the future of the Union Territory. He made it clear the BJP leadership of J&K is standing at the back of PM Modi and whatever responsibility he will give to build a Naya Jammu and Kashmir, will be accomplished with full zeal and zest as it is the good luck of J&K that such a dynamic PM has come to power who has special affinity towards UT’s development. Speaking on the ordeal of Kashmiri Pandits, Sikhs and other minorities which have been forced to live a life of second class citizen under the successive governments which remained in power for over 70 years, the senior BJP leader said that the plight of aforesaid communities will be raised in the A
PM and it is likely that government will come up with a favourable decision so that KPs, Sikhs and other minorities can be bailed out of years’ long discrimination and partial behaviour of helmsmen who ruled the state most of the time. He said that the plight of Jammu region will also be raised vociferously before PM Modi and other ministers as the prejudice which the region has been facing since last many decades is agonizing as people here are discriminated arbitrarily on the issues of jobs, admissions in professional courses, development, etc.
Kavinder said that he is confident that this time Jammu will get justice and all the issues will be resolved once and for all.
