JAMMU, June 22: J&K Pradesh Congress Vichar Vibhag (JKPCCVV) recommended for full statehood restoration with constitutional guarantees to its sub-areas to the party high command in a meeting held in virtual mode here today.
The meeting was presided over by its Chairman Capt. L. K. Sharma in the presence of Adv. Ashok Sharma, National Coordinator AICC Vichar Vibhag and former legislator, where as Jehangir Mir, former Dy Leader, J&K Legislative Council was the chief guest.
The intellectuals belonging to the Jammu Region were Col. Bana Ram, Kr. Baldev Singh, senior retired defense officers, Susheel Jamwal, Suraj Parkash, Satish Chibber, Raghuvir Singh, Jeet Singh academician, Jatinder Bhagat, Susheel Sharma, B. C. Raina, veteran political activist, Naresh Sharma Satish Dutta, Junaid Hussain, Arjun Sharma, Nakul Sharma, members of legal fraternity presented their view point.
The participants specifically pleaded that removal of trust deficit is equally important as full state restoration. They pleaded for constitutional safeguards to restore and preserve the culture and ethos of all the regions, sub regions and religions. They added that Jammu and Kashmir is mini India having multiple languages with rich cultural heritage having multi dimensional concepts of lives but still united. |
