DC Poonch inspects newly restored 132 KV Chandak Grid Station
Asks PDD to avoid unscheduled curtailment

POONCH, July 4: Deputy Commissioner Inder Jeet today asked the Power Development Department for effective regulation of power supply and further streamlining of the power distribution network.
He was talking to the PDD functionaries during the inspection of the newly restored 132 KV Grid Station at Chandak.
The 132 KV high tension line in Poonch was restored a few days back- 7 years after it was damaged in September 2014 floods in 2014.
"This line has started working once again. Directions have been given to remove the remaining glitches so that the whole setup associated with 132KV could be restored completely within 4 days" said the DC.
During his visit to the Grid and receiving station, he directed the officers to strictly adhere to the schedule already announced and avoid unscheduled power cuts.
He enquired about the schedule being maintained and the areas that are being fed by the receiving stations.
He also instructed for maintaining the records with regard to the number of consumers/households and areas catered to by the twin stations. He asked for maintaining a diary of the consumer complaints on a daily basis, a detailed chart of resource inventory and the details of inspections conducted by officers at various levels.
He further instructed the concerned Executive Engineers to conduct inspection of respective Grid stations at odd hours to keep check on presence of staff and working of the station.
Stressing on maintaining discipline in functioning of the department, the Deputy Commissioner directed authorities to ensure strict adherence to duty rosters. He said that no laxity would be tolerated on part of any official with regard to power supply to the people.
The DDC said that PDD is a priority sector of the government and has taken several proactive steps for improving power edifice in Poonch.
Meanwhile, DDC visited the Sub District Hospital Mandi to inspect the ongoing work of the oxygen generation plant.
The DC directed the executing agencies to complete work within three days. During the visit, the DDC inspected various wards of the Sub District hospital Mandi and also enquired about the vaccination status. He asked health authorities to complete the 100% vaccination of 45 year and above age group at the earliest and also increase the per day vaccination for 18 to 44 year age group.
He also inspected the ongoing construction work of the playground in Azmabaad, Mandi and directed the concerned to complete the work on a fast track basis.
He was accompanied by Tehsildar Haveli Anjum Khattak, Tehsildar Mandi, Shazad Latief Khan, Jyoti Kamal and other officials of JPDCL and Transmission Division.
