He has been successful in engaging the youth on both sides; as part of the theatre group and as audience as well. Another noteworthy accomplishment of Rohit was the staging of his Kashmiri play Gadd Bateh in Tagore Hall Srinagar. It was after a gap of 27 years that a Kashmiri Pandit group performed a play based around of Kashmiri Pandit festival in Srinagar to the jam packed Tagore Hall. It brought the two communities together in a unique way. Festival director of Jammu International Film Festival, Rohit has to his credit a number of plays including; 'Daye Sanz Dayegath', 'Shrishti Maa', 'Brashtachar', 'Aao Kuch Kar Dikhaye', 'Mazhab Nahi Sikhata', 'Mujrim Main Nahi Par Main Hi Hu', 'Khoya Bachpan', 'Ek Aur Birbal', 'Ateet Ke Sakshi', 'Mar Kar Jeena', and 'Gaad Bateh(The Fish Meal) etc.

Having left lucrative projects in Mumbai to pursue theatre in J&K, Rohit asserts that "Once you have performed on stage, nothing else would fascinate you". He expressed his gratitude towards his brother Rakesh Roshan Bhat who has always been his great support in doing theatre.
Speaking about his preference of style, he said that he has worked in different genres but all of his works carry social issues, which is his prime motive. Emphasizing on the importance of hard work, patience and practice, Rohit shared that whatever he has learnt, that is because of these virtues and also suggests others to implement the same as there are no shortcuts in theatre. With the aim to make people aware about their history and culture, his theatre group Vomedh has done tremendous work for the society in general and Kashmiri community in particular and have initiated many innovative initiatives like 'Terrace Theatre', 'International Film Festival' etc. Rohit believes in giving opportunities to new people as they have immense zeal but also expects commitment and patience from them.
