| Hope Delimitation Commission will live upto expectations: Sham Langar | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 8: A new ray of hope has emerged with Delimitation Commission's stepping in the Union Territory of J&K and giving ample space to political parties, other organizations and individuals having credibility in region's polity to help in redesigning the constituencies for ensuring free and fair representation of people in the upcoming Assembly. This was stated by Sham Lal Langar, Convenor BJP Trade and Industries Cell J&K in a handout issued here on Thursday.
Langar said that J&K was marred by hegemony of the Kashmir-centric political parties which never showed any interest in ensuring justice to all and rather played politics which revolved around a selected few families thus leaving the people of Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh on the mercy of God.
Expressing full faith in the functioning of the sitting members of the Delimitation Commission, Sham Lal said that people of the UT are filled with enthusiasm and anticipating that the outcome of this significant exercise will fulfill their expectations by ensuring justice to all.
"The lopsided distribution of Assembly seats have time and again failed the principles of democracy in J&K but under the realms of PM Narendra Modi led BJP Government in the centre, people here have full faith that the delimitation exercise will be conducted in a free and fair manner keeping accountability and the transparency as the first and foremost priority", Langar said, adding that hopefully no entity in the UT will raise fingers after the drawing of new contours distinguishing between assembly segments.
"It is the beauty of BJP Government that there is no injustice in governance and all the people get what they deserve as their right as citizens. Hopefully, people who are criticizing the government at this moment being apprehensive on the functioning of Delimitation Commission will soon start praising the same Commission for showing acumen and a balanced approach in carrying out the entire exercise with extreme responsibility", the senior BJP leader said and added there is no match to decisions taken by the BJP in bringing back peace, progress and prosperity in J&K. |
