Harsh Dev appeal masses to give befitting reply to opportunist forces
7/14/2021 10:29:08 PM

Early Times Report

Chenani, July 14: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) Chairman and Former Minister Harshdev Singh said that the time had come to give a befitting reply to all those opportunist leaders and parties which had betrayed the people of Dogra land.
“Those who failed to honour the sentiment of Jammu region despite getting 25 seats in Assembly and both seats of Parliament could no longer be trusted. If they couldn’t deliver despite holding the reins of power in New Delhi as well as in erstwhile state of J&K, they could further be trusted and needed to be deposed. NPP therefore was the only option before the people in view of utter neglect of Jammu region at the hands of national as well as Kashmir centric parties. He was addressing public meetings in villages Galli, Rengi, Chulyar, Baht and Bain of Chenani constituency today.
Addressing huge gatherings, Harsh Dev Singh said that Jammu region continued to be deprived even after abrogation of Art 370 with its share declining in services as well as general development with each passing day. He said that only recently the govt had created new posts of lecturers wherein Kashmir region was given 2225 posts whereas Jammu region was made to content with around 685 posts.
And there also, Dogri and Sanskrit languages were marginalized in view of a negligible share of posts having been assigned for the said subjects despite BJP’s tall claims of promoting the said languages. He revealed that in H&ME sector also Jammu region was deprived as no PG seats were sanctioned for GMC Jammu in the recent approval accorded by MCI which gave 19 PG seats for Medical College Srinagar and 6 seats for SKIMS. Likewise, the govt announced MIS for orchardists of Kashmir while announcing to procure their apples, walnuts and saffron through NAFED, the farmers of Jammu region were most contemptuously disregarded despite huge losses to their crops.
The recent list of Fire Services Deptt provided another example of glaring irregularity and most hostile discrimination against Jammu region which too failed to elicit any response from the BJP leadership. And now the govt was contemplating to increase the scholarship of wards of militants while at the same time offering govt Jobs to gun wielding youth of Kashmir, there seemed to be no takers for the sufferings and genuine concerns of Jammu youth languishing on roads”, lamented Singh.
With the public resentment against BJP becoming more pronounced and the youth in particular fast losing faith in BJP, it was NPP alone which could navigate the people of Jammu region. BJP had belied the hopes of the unemployed youth who were treated most shabbily by the BJP regime. Ban on mobile 4G internet, growing inflation and installation of multiple Toll Plazas were the only achievement of BJP, he asserted.
