Dy Mayor JMC chairs meeting of J&K Religious Tourism Culture & Heritage

JAMMU, July 21: A meeting was organized by Jammu & Kashmir Religious Tourism Culture & Heritage at Jammu, which was chaired by Deputy Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
The meeting was held in order to promote religious tourism in J&K under the Chairmanship of Sh. Rajesh Gupta (President VHP and Tourism Federation), Adv. Purnima Sharma, Hon'ble Deputy Mayor JMC and Mahant Bittu.
Speaking during the meeting Adv. Purnima Sharma said that the meeting was organised to share ideas about how can all the religious places, heritage places and the culture of Jammu Kashmir can be uplifted among the tourists and nationally so as to promote tourism in the UT.
She further said that also discussion was conducted on how to develop the different religions tourist places and how make them easily accessible to the locals and tourists. As with this every tourist will be able to easily visit religious place and know about its importance in the history of J&K and also it will promote Sanatan Dharm.
Mahant Rajesh Bittu said that today a meeting of all the prominent citizens from various districts of J&K UT connected via religious tourism was held. During the meeting, it was decided to form a trust in which me(Mahant Rajesh Bittu) and Adv. Purnima Sharma were nominated as the Chief Patrons and the trust being formed will be managed by Er. Harish Sharma as the President of the Trust and also an advisory council is being formed for the trust.
Mahant Rajesh Bittu further added that just as the wine shops are banned in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, on the same analogy the same should be banned near other religious places like Sudmahadev, Devka, Purmandal, Baba Sidhgori, Uttervani, Maa Sukrala, Sarthala, Baba Paeed Devtaand many more. Also the construction of roads linking the religious places and providing easy commute to the tourists should be taken up on war footing basis so that they can be completed as soon as possible.
Kusum Khajuria, Khem Raj, Kapil verma, Kuldeep singh, Purshotam singh, Kaka ram updya, Davinder Singh Jasrotia, Anil singh , Anil kumar lambardar, Harish sharma and many more from Samba, Hiranagar, Sagoon, Aithem, Udhampur, Kathua, Mirpur, Chowala, R.S. pura were present during the meeting.
