JAMMU, July 24: Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, JKAS today took over the charge of Director Youth Services & Sports and convened a meeting of all the section heads to take stock of the official business. He stressed that the Youth services and sports department has a rich legacy with enormous contributions from its employees and leadership over the years. It has been at the forefront of the nation building and contributing a lot for maintaining peace and harmony through the medium of sports. He instructed at the quick disposal of the official business and time bound delivery of sports services.
He also emphasized that the human resource of the department is its greatest strength and stressed for optimum utilization of manpower with synergized efforts to attain the desired results on ground. Our immediate focus would be to resume the sports activities and games throughout the UT amid the COVID 19 by following Covid appropriate behaviour (CAB), latest proper SOPs/ guidelines for preventing the spread of infections viz, usage of masks, social distancing and hand hygiene etc as is being prescribed by Heath Department from time to time, he asserted. He also enquired into implementation of e- office by the Directorate /digitization of records and instructed for taking all necessary steps for operationalization of the e- Office at an earliest.
