| BJP activists stage protest against SHO Kathua | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, July 24: Alleging misbehavior by Station House Officer (SHO) Kathua with Councilor Rahul Dev Sharma during protest demonstration held at National Highway on July 23, the supporters of Rahul Dev, especially activists of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) staged protest demonstration blocking College road near GDC Kathua, on Saturday.
The protesters raising slogans against SHO Kathua demanded transfer of the SHO if he fails to regret. Municipal Council Chairman Naresh Sharma castigating working of SHO Kathua said that Rahul Dev is public representative and SHO should have dealt with him in a sober way. "But SHO leaving all ethics behind and showing his power dragged him road aside as if he was a culprit," Sharma irked. Naresh Sharma further said that Rahul was bound to be on road as the public of his ward was suffering due to mismanagement of power department since one month. Despite several visits to department officials the problem remained as it was, and Rahul was bound to be on road as people were reeling under darkness and forced to live under hot and humid condition. "SHO Kathua will have to apologize for his misbehavior otherwise the protests will remain continue until the demand is met," he added.
Besides dozens of BJP activists MC Vice-Chairperson Rekha Kumari, Councilor Prem Nath Dogra, and Councilor Sanjeev Vaid were also present during the protest. |
