150 trapped yatris rescued

Udhampur, July 31: More than 150 Yatris trapped between Gulbgarh to Machail due to flash flood on 28th July were finally rescued by Padder administration today via Garh Kukandran route.
All the Yatris haling from different areas reached Gulabgarh where from they are being sent to their native places. It is pertinent to mention here that SDM Paddar Varun jeet Charak had constituted a team consisting of civil and police to provide relief and ensure safe passage of passengers stranded at different locations from kundhail to Machail due to the disaster occurred during the past days.
He personally monitored entire rescue operation and ensure safe evacuation of pilgrims. It is pertinent to mention here that Flash floods triggered by heavy rains and cloud burst have washed away number of big and small bridges in, Kundal and chasoti Area of Padder due to which Yatris were trapped there.
Meanwhile all the Yatris rescued toady thanked Padder administration for their timely help for launching operation to rescue them. Meanwhile several bridges on way to Gulbgarh to Machail, one hotel and number of houses washed away due to flash. SDM Paddar Varunjeet charak after getting information rushed to the spot and personally monitoring situation and have launched reduce operation to shift people to safe place situation personally.
