Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 7: A meeting of General Category Peoples' Front-Jammu (GCPF-J) was held under the chairmanship of its chairman Raj Kumar Banathia. Addressing the meeting, Prof. Yash Paul Sanson alleged that Modi government is playing divisive politics promoting caste, class and religion. He said that Modi government has once again reversed the verdict of Supreme Court of India to sabotage the Hindus.
After General Category peoples mode has ripped off the rights and reservation quota of OBC's by effecting amendment in Constitution allowing the states to include Muslims and others in OBC lists.
He added that reversal of Apex Court's verdicts is an assault on constitution and judiciary. Modi's arrogant and doctorial attitude has made the constitution a plaything effecting amendments against the basic spirit of constitution for communal vote-bank politics, destroying social fabric of Indian society.
Sanson condemned anti Hindu and pro-minority mindset of prime minister Modi ji that has given birth to launch illegal discriminatory welfare schemes for the minorities.
He demanded that government should make legal and constitutional provisions of equal rights and equal laws for all citizens and special support measures (SSM) for the poor, needy and deserving families of all castes and religions and abolish reservations, quotas, special privileges and concessions on the basis of caste and religion. Modi is the embodiment of caste and class politics.
Som Nath Sharma, Gen. Secretary said that at this time of serious crises, Front will continue its struggle against discriminatory policies of the government and in defence of people's rights. He said that taking people for granted especially general category the core voters of BJP will prove fatal for the BJP.
General Category People are angry and their anger needs to be viewed seriously. There are cogent reasons to believe that anger of people is very likely to give birth to revolt against government. He demanded that govt. should formulate economic and social policies based on the principle of equality, justice and dignity. He accused that government has been indulging in divisive politics of caste, class and religion, grass injustice and anti-majority socio-economic policies of Modi has left no option but resist politically against to exist.
V.K. Sharma, Vice President expressed deep concerns over the steep price-rise of essential commodities. The soaring prices has shattered the budget of a common household. Inflation rate had peaked all time high and broken all records but Modi government is not doing anything. The other participants that included Deep Khajuria, Bhushan Pargal, Gopal Dass Verma, Surinder Kumar and Dr. Bansi Lal criticized govt. of India for not releasing D.A. Installment of July 2021 and eighteen month arrear to employees and pensioners. They expressed regret that in JKUT, employees and pensioners are getting Rs. 300/- PM as Medical allowance, they termed it a big joke.
