MIET School of management attains 100% placements for MBA students | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 10: The School of Management at the Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) concluded its placement season with 100% placements of participating students for the graduating batch of MBA students. This was informed by Dean Placements and Training, Prof. B.C Sharma and Dr. Ankita Nanda Head, MIET School of Management. Thirty-six offers of placement were received by MBA students from top corporate houses such as HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Planetspark, BYJU'S, WhiteHat Jr., Extramarks and ICICI Prudential. The maximum number of students were placed in Banking Sector (55%) followed by Financial Services (25%) and EdTech (20%). Maximum salary of Rs. 10 lakh per annum was received by 3 students, followed by 3 students at 6.5 lakh per annum, while the median salary was Rs. 3.8 Lakhs per annum. Five students had two offers of employment whereas ten students opted out of the placement process to pursue their entrepreneurial journey and other interests. The School of Management at MIET has consistently achieved 100 percent placement rate for the last six pass out batches. This year's stellar performance is attributed towards the implementation of the comprehensive skill matrix, personalized training, assessment of students on the national testing platforms and focus on outcomes-based education. Dr. Renu Gupta, Chairperson MIER and Prof. Ankur Gupta, Director MIET congratulated the students, faculty and the leadership team of the School of Management for emerging as the premier Business School in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir in the private sector. The MIET School of Management was recently ranked 52nd in the country in the Return-on-Investment (RoI) category by the Business Today magazine. |
