123 bovines rescued, 18 arrested in Reasi

REASI, Aug 27: Continuing its drive against bovine smuggling, teams of district police Reasi lay special nakas and raided different passes in Pir Panjal ranges & arrested 18 bovine smugglers while rescuing 123 bovines being illegally transported by them.
Team of police station Mahore during series of raids, surprise nakas & apprehended 06 bovine smugglers namely Mohd Sharief son of Jamal Din resident of Budhan, Abdul Rasheed son of Akbar resident of Badder, Shabir Ahmed son of Noor Mohd resident of Channa, Mohd Ashraf son of Faiz Mohd resident of Kote Budhan, Mushtaq Ahmed son of Saiyan resident of Channa and Mushtaq Ahmed son of Mohd Hussain resident of Channa Tehsil Chassana and rescued 72 bovines from their posessesion while transporting them to Kashmir. In this regard Case FIR number 53, 54, 56, 66, 67, 68/2021 U/S 188 IPC and 11(1) PCA Act stands registered at Police Station Mahore and investigation set in.
While foiling attempts of bovines smuggling teams of Police Station Arnas registered four case FIR's numbers 75, 76, 82, 85/ 2021 U/S 188 IPC, 11(1) A PCA Act and arrested five bovines smugglers namely Mohd Shakeel son of Mohd Iqbal R/O Dedah Gool, Arshad Ali son of Ahamedu resident of Tringa Thuroo, Mohd Qasim son of Ilam Din resident of Thanole, Ashraf son of Gulam Ali resident of Thillo and Anzer son of Noor Hussain resident of Thilloo and rescued 12 bovines from their possession.
Police Station Chassana foiled three bovines smuggling attempts rescued 31 bovines while on way to Kulgam and arrested four bovines smugglers namely Mohd Zubair son of Mohd Yaqoob, Majed Din son of Mohd Younis both residents of Channa tehsil Chassana, Mohd Ashraf son of Aman Ullah resident of Channa and Mushtaq Ahmed son of Dawood resident of Hasote tehsil Chassana. In this regards FIR's numbers 27, 28, 29/2021 U/S 188 IPC stands registered at Police Station Chassana and investigations set in.
Teams of Police Station Pouni registered two case FIR's while foiling two attempts of bovines smuggling and arrested two bovines smugglers namely Girdhari Lal son of Des Raj resident of Laiter Pouni and Mohd Qasim son of Mohd Yousaf resident of Chandi Mata Thakrakote and rescued Six bovines from their possession. In this regards two case FIR numbers 52 & 56/2021 U/S 188 IPC, 11 (1) a PCA Act stand registered at Police Station Pouni and investigations initiated.
