The incident has caused great resentment among the people even though the dog menace has created havoc in the Kishtwar and its adjoining areas. The people slams the Kishtwar Municipality officials for their failure in checking the growing dog menace in the area. The local Municipalities including Municipal Corporations are the nodal agencies to check the increasing number of dogs through castrations, but they fail to act as a result of which the population of dogs grows increasingly in many municipalities of Jammu and Kashmir.
