| Dr Twinkle appointed Nodal Officer for "Azadi Ka Amrit Mohotsav" activities | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 27: National Commission for Indian System of Medicine, Ministry of AYUSH, Govt of India has appointed Nodal officers of Ayurved Siddha, Unani System of Medicine throughout the country to coordinate activities of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mohotsav". In this regard, Dr Twinkle Gupta from Govt Ayurvedic Medical College, Akhnoor has been appointed Nodal Officer in J&KUT to coordinate activities of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mohotsav".
In order to celebrate the "Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav" a full year Action Plan has been planned by AYUSH Ministry. The programmes are to be inaugurated during the AYUSH week i.e. from 30th August to 5th September 2021.
All the colleges under NCISM have been given responsibility to conduct mass lectures and distribution of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials among the students of higher secondary schools and colleges on disease prevention and health promotive measures, creating awareness about medicinal plants, promoting local traditional food and lifestyle along with other programmes. The National launching event of these programmes will be held on 4th September on virtual platform. |
