JMC mayor visits Municipal site at Bandhu Rakh

JAMMU, Aug 27: Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor JMC today conducted an extensive tour at municipal land at Bandhu Rakh near Kunjwani Jammu and took stock of the various development projects being undertaken by the JMC at the said site. Rakesh Gupta Superintending Engineer, S.K Gupta Executive Engineer of UEED, Dr. Sushil Sharma, MVO JMC, Rajeev Abrol Senior Town Planner JMC, Satish Kumar Langer Executive Engineer, Janak Singh Saini, S. Manjot Singh Junior Engineer & other Supervisory Staff of Engineering Division IV & Sanitation Wing as well as representatives of UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) also accompanied the Mayor during the tour.
Mayor went round the whole complex and reviewed the ongoing construction work of protection wall of the land, functioning of Weigh Bridge as well as collection and segregation of garbage, wastes, plastics etc undertaken by the UNDP in collaboration with JMC. Mayor also issued on spot directions to the Engineers of UEED for laying of crates and completion of remaining works of Nallah flowing near the site to avoid any type of stagnation of dirty water & its entering in the Municipal land especially during rainy days and directed the Engineering section of JMC to prepare estimate for construction of remaining work of shed of animal care Centre as well as chowkidar's room and other allied works and complete all these development works within the stipulated time frame by applying best quality construction material and appeal to the general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC & other allied agencies in all the development activities being undertaken in various wards of the city, do not use single used plastics & polythenes in their daily life, adopt the habit of segregation of dry & wet waste at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean & green city.
