| ANTF recovers 13.5 kgs of Hashish, 3 arrested | | |

Jammu, Sept 2: Anti Narcotics Task Force of J and K intercepted a car coming from Kashmir and recovered huge quantity of Narcotic substances hidden in cavity. Two Interstate Narco Smugglers have been arrested.
On a specific input regarding the smuggling of narco substances from Kashmir Valley to Punjab via NHW, sleuths of Anti Narcotic Task Force swung into action and laid Nakas at various places . During naka checking, a Car Mahindra XUV bearing Registeration Number PB65Z 1895 was intercepted
and upon checking, huge quantity of Narcotic Substances were recovered. Total 8.750 kgs of Hashish has been seized and two persons namely Gurpreet Singh S/O Balvinder Singh R/O Tanda Hoshyarpur Punjab and Dev Karan S/O Lt. Kulwant Singh R/O Morinda District Ropar Punjab have been arrested. Car has also been seized and an FIR under relevant sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotripic Substances Act has been registered. Initial investigation has revealed that this consignment was being carried from Sangam area of Kashmir Valley to Punjab . ANTF is investigating forward and backward linkages of this Interstate drug racket.
It is pertinent to mention that on 27/8/21, ANTF arrested a person named Khalid Ahmad Khan R/0 Gul Mohd Khan R/O Sarai Bala Aamirakadal Srinagar and recovered 4.8 kgs of Hashish from his possession. On his interrogation, it revealed that this consignment was being taken from Kashmir to Delhi. ANTF has appealed general public to extend all cooperation and share any information regarding drug dealers so that this menance is uprooted from our society.
