Only locals in Ladakh to get ‘Resident Certificate’

Leh, Sept 5: The Ladakh administration has determined to problem “Resident Certificates” solely to the Everlasting Resident Certificates holders of the area, in contrast to J&Okay the place new domicile legal guidelines allowed outsiders too to use for jobs, land and different services. In response to the Ladakh Resident Certificates Order 2021 handed on Saturday, “any one who possesses a Everlasting Resident Certificates (PRC) issued by the competent authority within the districts of Leh and Kargil or belongs to a class of individuals who would have been eligible to be issued PRC shall be eligible to obtain the ‘Resident Certificates’.”
The order, based on an official spokesman, is “to briefly outline ‘Resident of Union Territory of Ladakh’ for the aim of appointment to all of the non-gazetted posts borne on the institution of any division or service of administration of Ladakh”.
All of the Tehsildars have been authorised competent authority to problem the ‘Resident Certificates’.
