| Mayor kick starts development works in Shakti Nagar area | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 4: Continuing his endeavour to provide more development & civic amenities to the general public, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Chander Mohan Gupta kick started developmental works here today in Shakti Nagar area.
Accompanied by Councillor of Ward No 29, Surinder Singh Chowdhary, the Mayor kick started the upgradation work of Kriya Ghat by way of construction of proper shed for bathing ghat, installation of tiles, renovation of stairs and other allied works opposite PHE Sub Division near Kali Mata Mandir alongside Ranbir Canal Shakti Nagar.
Kishore Kumar Executive Engineer, Ashish Bhashin Assistant Executive Engineer, Mukesh Kumar Junior Engineer and other supervisory staff of Engineering Division II and Health Section as well as Bawa Sharma, Karan Sharma, Krishan Verma, Som Nath, Rahul Kumar and other prominent inhabitants of the Shakti Nagar and its adjoining localities were remained present during the function. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor told that it was the long pending demands of the locals as large number of females comes here to attend the last rites of their known deceased persons. He also directed the concerned Engineering wing to keep strict vigil on the work and complete it within the stipulated time frame by applying best quality construction materials. Besides this, Mayor along with the team also conducted an extensive tour of other localities of the ward and took stock of the ongoing development works of prestigious project of walkway/green spaces which is being executed by the JMC from Pawan Ice Cream towards AG Office alongside Canal Shakti Nagar area .
