COVID-19: Jammu reports 22 new cases, Kashmir 78

SRINAGAR, Oct 4: The Government on Monday informed that 100 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 22 from Jammu division and 78 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 329889.
Moreover, 144 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 27from Jammu Division and 117 from Kashmir Division.
The Bulletin informs that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported today.
On COVID vaccination, the bulletin informs that 1,78,389 doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 120,10,512. It adds that 89.08 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 329889positive cases, 1157 are Active Positive (264 in Jammu Division and 893 in Kashmir Division), 324308 have recovered and 4424 have died; 2174 in Jammu division and 2250 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 15044940 test results available, 329889 samples have tested positive and 14715051 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 41,702 COVID tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours.
Till date 3571646 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 6994 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1157 in isolation and 464383 in home surveillance. Besides, 3094688 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases reported today, the Bulletin said that Srinagar reported 44 cases, Baramulla reported 02 cases, Budgam reported 06 cases, Pulwama reported 05cases, Kupwara reported 03 cases, Anantnag reported 03 cases, Ganderbal reported 09cases, Bandipora reported 05 cases while Kulgam and Shopian reported 01 fresh case each for today.
Similarly, Jammu reported 10cases, Udhampur reported no case, Rajouri reported 02cases, Doda reported 04 cases, Kathua reported no case, Poonch reported no case, Kishtwar, reported 01 case, Ramban reported 02 cases, Reasi reported 03 cases while Samba reported no fresh case.
The bulletin further informs the general public that they can contact helpline numbers 0191-2520982/2674444/2674115/2674908/2549676 in Jammu Division and 0194-2440283/2430581/2452052/2457313/2457312 in Kashmir Division for any kind of guidance and assistance.
In case of emergency, people can avail free ambulance services 24x7 by calling toll free number 108 while pregnant women and sick infants can avail free services by dialling toll free number 102, the bulletin reads.
It also informs that the public can reach the national helpline by dialling 1075.
