JAMMU, Oct 4: The NSS unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Jindrah organized a Swachhata Abhiyaan Rally under Clean India campaign on the 4th consecutive day under 'Har Din Paavan' series in the Jindrah village. The surroundings of the Jindrah village were covered under the rally. The activity was done under the banner of 'Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'.
Dr Sunil Sharma, Program officer, NSS Unit of GDC Jindrah supervised the whole rally and Dr Seema, Librarian and member of NSS team compiled and reported the rally.
Prof Rajshree Dhar, Principal, GDC, Jindrah applauded the efforts of the NSS team and Volunteers. She also spoke on the occasion and aware students and staff of the activities to be done under Clean India campaign. She also explains the practical implications of such activities in detail.
The NSS volunteers along with staff viz Dr Ashok Kumar, Dr Rajiv Katoch, Prof Paramjit Singh, Prof Poonam Rainu, Prof Jasneet Kaur, Dr Vikesh Kumar and other staff of the college took out the rally along the public places of the Jindrah village like Bank, PHC, market area etc. In the Rally awareness regarding banning usage of plastic bags, throwing garbage in the dustbin, and dumping green waste separately, so that it can be composted was spread with loud and clear voice among the locals. |
