Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 7: The highly provocative statement issued by The Resistance Front (TRF) after the gruesome killing of two innocent teachers-one Sikh and another Hindu, is clear indication that they were killed only for hoisting the national flag during Independence Day.
With Z-Plus security and living in highly fortified bungalows in capital cities of Jammu and Srinagar, have issued order to hoist national flags at all government schools without realizing the ground reality as highest number of Over Ground Workers (OGWs) are working in the Education Department.
Heads of all government schools ensured hoisting of national flags during Independence Day but after some days they have started receiving indirect threats from different quarters. Instead of providing security to the teachers who dared to hoist national flags in their schools braving terror threats, arrogant Babus even refused to listen to their grievances.
“To whom we will convey our grievances because Babus are not approachable”, a teacher told The Early Times on the condition of anonymity. He said that there is no one to listen grievances of the people because arrogant Babus are living their own world- far away from the ground reality.
After the Independence Day function Babus gave a message across the country that J&K has been changed and national flags were hoisted in over 28000 schools across the UT.
It was claimed that first time in the history of Jammu and Kashmir, national flags were unfurled in over 28,000 schools across the Union Territory.
Keeping in view the directions of higher authorities, all heads of the schools unfurled the national flags in the premises of their respective institutes and led the singing of the national anthem with staff members and students.
The TRF in its handout claimed that “Shaheed Gazi Squad (TRF) carried out today's target attack in Srinagar. As already warned anybody whosoever sides with the occupier and becomes their pawn in implementing nefarious designs of the occupier won't be spared. These teachers had on 15 August harassed and warned the parents with dire consequences if any student didn't attend the occupier regimes 15th August filthy function at their school. Despite our warning posters and request that don't politicize the education system and don't drag education sector or any other public dealings sector into occupiers filthy agenda”.
