| GDC Kathua conducts clean India campaign | | |  Early times Report
Kathua, Oct 20: In continuation to its activities under Clean India campaign and Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav, NSS Units GDC Kathua today conducted cleanliness drive in the college premises and outside the college .Under this drive Volunteers collected waste material in the form of polythene and plastic and other waste from the outside of main gate , administrative block,dream park road and in the college premises.
This drive was especially conducted out side the college and in the College parking area, girls park and Arts block. Later on, Collected waste material was disposed in the proper place.There was much enthusiasm among the volunteers regarding this Clean India Campaign which was launched on the 152nd birth anniversary of Mahatam Gandhi ji.Volunteers also appealed the other students to participate in this campaign and become youth ambassador to forward this campaign in their respective areas for the cause of Nation. Under this campaign tomorrow volunteers especially will launch this campaign in their respective areas in the form of door to door campaign and will collect polythene and single use plastic from the households and also will appeal them to say no to polythene and single use plastic. Swacchta pledge was also taken by the volunteers to devote two hours daily for Swacch Bharat Campaign in future also. |
